Was Ojukwu selfish or patriotic on Biafra, A flash at Nigeria Civil War of 1966

As Nigerians celebrate her 55th Independence today,  let us have flash back  on Nigeria Civil War (Biafra war) between 1966-1969. There are two sides to the war,  those that belong to the school of thought that it was because of selfish interest of Ojukwu while the other believed it was because of Ibo massacred by northerners. The second side to the war was Gowan refused Biafra because of minorities group or because of the oil in the region ceded by Biafra? While was Awolowo sculpted the alliance of the West with the east since the coup plotter of 1966 wanted to make him the head of state?  Was Ibo  massacred or Genocide These  questions beg for answers
